Coming of Spring: Renewal and Rebirth

“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”  Isaiah 60:1

Yes! “arise” and “shine,” my fine people, because “your light has come, and the GLORY of the Lord rises upon you!”  God’s Word is always timeless, but how fitting are these words at the coming of spring, and the advent of the Easter holiday.

Easter, as many of you may know, is the Christian celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and represents rebirth, new beginnings, renewal, and the impossible being made possible. What an inspiration for true believers who are experiencing pain, suffering, and despair when you consider the crucifixion, and the great pain and suffering Jesus endured prior to his most profound and transformative comeback!

My people, it’s time for your comeback! Like the phoenix, the fascinating bird from Greek mythology, described by legend to have obtained new life by rising from the ashes of its predecessor, it is your time! Time to emerge from the ashes and rubble that occupy your mind, and, in effect, your physical realty, in the form of fear, doubt, self-pity, lack, disappointment, anger, failure, and struggle.

Renewing your mind is where you must start. But don’t take it from me… Let God’s word be your guide. Romans 12:2 says, “Let God transform you into a new person by CHANGING THE WAY YOU THINK. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.” (Romans 12:2)

The beauty of this day, and this moment, is that you can begin anew right now! The past is everything that has happened, and preceded this precise moment in time–right now! Let go of anything and everything that disturbs your peace of mind and/or does not bring God glory. And remember, anything… absolutely ANYTHING is possible when you believe. There is nothing God cannot do! What do you have to lose by trusting God and ACTING on faith? But, more importantly, think of all you have to gain!

In closing, please meditate on these words today and every day that follows with expectancy, and hope for miracles and supernatural blessings beyond what you can even imagine.

“I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”                                                                            – Jeremiah 29:11
